Getting In
For those traveling from afar, we recommend flying into the Duluth Airport (DLH).
Getting to Canal Park
There are lots of ways to get to Canal Park where the wedding action is happening! The airport has several car rental options, and Lyft and Uber are relatively inexpensive. (They have significantly less drivers later at night, but you should still be able to hail a ride). If you are feeling more adventurous while in Canal Park, they have electric scooters too! (Download the Bird or Leaf scooter apps ahead of time for a seamless ride.)
We have a block of rooms reserved at both The Suites Hotel and the Radisson Hotel.
Please book your rooms early as the discounted rates end soon!
The Suites Hotel at Waterfront Plaza
The Suites is just two blocks from the wedding!
To reserve a room, call the hotel directly and ask for the "Moroff/Jordan Wedding Block" to receive the wedding rate. This block of rooms closes on October 1st. After this date, reservations are accepted on an availability basis.
Radisson Hotel Duluth-Harborview
The skywalk connects The Radisson to the DECC so you never have to go outside when leaving the reception!
To receive the wedding rate:

or call Radisson guest services
at 1-800-333-3333
and ask for the "Moroff/Jordan Wedding Block." This block of rooms closes on October 14. After this date, reservations are accepted on an availability basis.
Other Options
There are plenty of other hotels and rental homes in and around Canal Park. Please stay wherever is best for you to get into the wedding spirit!

Our Favorites in Canal Park
We’re so excited to get married in Canal Park and wanted to share some of our favorite spots in hopes that you’ll enjoy your time up north as much as we do!
Canal Park Food & Drinks
Sights + Activities
Lakewalk – even on Duluth’s cooler days, we LOVE walking on the Lakewalk. If you’re staying in Canal Park, we suggest walking out to the North Pier Lighthouse and enjoying the Aerial Lift Bridge, or walking over to Leif Erickson Park + the Rose Garden. It’s also fun walking to Fitgers and adventuring through their shops, or walking down to the beach and skipping some Lake Superior rocks (weather permitting – we’re hoping for a beautiful day on November 15th! *knocks on wood*).
DECC / Amsoil Arena – you’ll get to check out the DECC’s largest ballroom at our reception, but if you’re sticking around after our wedding and are a fan of women’s hockey, we wanted to point out at the Women’s Bulldog Hockey Team plays the Gophers on Saturday at 3 pm!
Worth the Short Drive
Lincoln Park Craft District – definitely worth checking out Duluth’s craft district! Some of our favorite places include the Duluth Folk School, Duluth Grill, Wild State Cider, and Ursa Minor Brewing.
...and MORE
We could go on and on about cool places to check out in Duluth so if you have any questions, send them our way – Megan’s dream job is being a Duluth Tour Guide. We can’t wait to be in the Twin Ports celebrating with you soon!
Story
We met at camp. Michael was a camp counselor and Megan was a youth director. She was bringing a group of kids out of the Boundary Waters, and Michael built them a fire for their last night at camp. The sparks were already flying.
That fall, Michael started volunteering at Megan's church with their Confirmation program. A couple years later, we started dating, but the timing wasn't right for the two of us.
We stayed in touch through our time both working in youth ministry. Then, a decade later, because of mutual interests in beer, football, and faith, we started spending more time together.
As Megan got ready to enroll in seminary, the flame was rekindled. In the summer of 2022 Megan came out to South Dakota for a week at Michael's invitation, and we hit it off (again).
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
See Our Story!
Who made the first move? How?
Michael made the first move (both times).
First, when he told Megan late one night how he felt as we were laying on the couch in the "Bunkhouse."
Then the second time, when she woke up from a nap asking what he wanted to do, and he said he wanted to kiss.
Who's going to take out the trash?
He is... forever and always :)
What's your favorite activity together?
Going on adventures to explore new things in new places.
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Somewhere far away with beautiful beaches, sunny skies, and warm weather!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
Troll Restaurant in Trondheim, Norway. Delicious 5-course meal right on the shores of the Trondheim Fjord.
How did he propose?
Since our relationship spanned a whole decade, we had a lot memories together. Michael booked a hotel room at the Four Seasons in Minneapolis so we could begin the day in luxurious comfort. Then, after a lazy morning at the pool, we went for a "walk down memory lane," where Michael took Megan to a dozen of our memorable moments across the Twin Cities (first kiss, where we first said "I Love You," the church that brought us together, and more).
We went back to the Four Seasons to freshen up and go to the final memorable moment (first date) before the proposal. As we were about to leave, the skies became black and giant hail fell from the heavens. Everything got postponed for a while. But as quick as the storm rolled in, it was over, and a rainbow appeared in the sky.
Then we went to Stone Arch Bridge (our first date) and concluded with Michael taking Megan to Gold Medal Park. This was a place we had not been to before together. Michael then told Megan that while he enjoyed the memories of our past and how love got us through a lot, it wasn't enough for him. He wanted to make a lifetime of memories with Megan and so he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Her first words (upon seeing the ring), were "Oh shit!" (he did a good job buying the perfect engagement ring), which were then immediately followed by "YES!"
A close friend who is a professional photographer was hiding at the top of the hill and captured the whole moment. We then went to Day Block Brewing for an engagement party with some of our close family and friends.

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the wedding reception.
We of course, love kids (we were youth directors for a combined 20+ years), and we also value time with all of you!
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Duluth! Last year in November, it was over 60 degrees. The year before, it was below freezing. We're praying for a nice fall day and no snow!
Where should I park?
If you're staying in Canal Park, we recommend walking! For those that are driving:
For the ceremony, you can park in the lot right next to The Garden (enter at the corner of Lake Ave & Buchanan St.). You will have to pay for parking there (typically $8). Your car can stay there until 9 a.m. on Saturday.
For the reception, you can walk across the Minnesota Slip Bridge (3 minute walk). On-site parking is also available at the DECC. You will pay for parking (typically $10) and then can park in one of their many lots. Walk through their skywalk to the Harbor Side Convention Center.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The Garden will have some parts that are not accessible, but everything you need will be on the ground floor. Elevators will get you up to the Harborside Ballroom at the DECC.
What should I wear?
Check the schedule above for what we recommend to wear. We'll be indoors, and there will be a place to hang your coat if you're prone to get chilly.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Indoors. Both the ceremony (The Garden) and the reception (The DECC) are completely indoor venues. There will be an option to walk outside to the reception over the Minnesota Slip Bridge or you can drive between the two.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Dancing Shoes! Seriously, we want you to feel good so you can dance the night away.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our website:
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
Whom should I call with questions?
Reach out to Mike or Megs with questions.
